You will be required to fill in all the fields to setup a new autoresponder.

It is for choosing the name of ‘From’ address that appears in the emails that are sent by E.G.G.S.™ to your subscribers. Setting the service name that reflects your website domain is advised because it helps promote more traffic to your website.

Autoresponder Email refers to the autoresponder subscription email address (e.g. subscribe@mywebsite.com) This can be used by your visitors to manually subscribe to your automated mailing list by sending a blank email to this address with the subject “subscribe me”.

Please note that this will also affect your auto generated subscription form codes. So after updating the subscription email address, it is advised to update all subscription codes in your web pages.

Autoresponder mode refers to the subscription model that will be followed by a particular autoresponder under E.G.G.S. ™

There are two modes:

Single Opt in mode means that a subscriber needs to provide his or her email address only once while subscribing to the autoresponder. The autoresponder will not require double confirmation and the new user will automatically start receiving email messages.

Double Opt in mode means that a subscriber needs to provide his or her email address and a confirmatory email will be sent to that email address. The subscription will only be activated when the user has opened the email from her inbox and has clicked the confirmation link. Only then the user will be subscribed.

Subscription Email POP3 Server is the POP3 mail server that will be used to send and receive all emails while E.G.G.S. ™ is executing automated autoresponder lists.

POP3 Server Port is the port number of the POP3 mail server to be used.

POP3 username is a valid user name on the POP3 mail server to be used by E.G.G.S. ™ to connect and send/receive automated email messages to subscribers of different autoresponders.

Custom Confirmation Page is a customized page that (if entered here) will act as a ‘Thank you for subscribing’ message and will integrate seamlessly into your website.

Custom Confirmation Page checkbox should be checked if you intend to use your own confirmation page that will enable seamless integration into your website.

Note: If you do not wish to use a customized page, this checkbox should be unchecked to indicate your preference. In this case the default E.G.G.S. ™ confirmation page will be displayed.

Custom Confirmation Page text field should contain the full URL path for the confirmation page that you intend to use. Note that it will not be activated unless you check the checkbox above it.
